Run Copenhagen

Copenhagen is full of opportunities to get active. You'll see loads of people out on the streets and in the parks running for fun or training for an upcoming event. It's no coincidence. Copenhagen is great for running.

Join the fun

There are several great runs in the Copenhagen Running calendar. Copenhagen Marathon is perhaps the cornerstone, but you don't necessarily need to take on 42 kilometres to join in. We picked a few highlights here that offer different distances and competitive levels.

Much more than running

There are plenty of ways to get your pulse going in Copenhagen. You don’t have to stick to running. Do your callisthenics or cardio with a great view over the city, ski a power plant, or swim the clean harbour.

Going for a run but don't know where?

We’re not the ones who dictate you where to run. We’re all for exploring the city in running shoes, but we can point you toward a few popular spots.

Tighten your laces and go!

Copenhagen is open for exploration for runners, but one of the great places to go for a run is, of course, Copenhagen Harbour. It’s a nice open space, there is a lot to look at in terms of architecture, and of course, you can end your run with a dip in the harbour.
